  IMMIGRATION SERVICES

RECOGNIZING THE QUEER IMMIGRANT EXPERIENCE

The North County LGBTQ Resource Center recognizes and highlights the queer immigrant experience, one that is met with unique challenges due to their gender identity or sexual orientation and its relationship with their country’s politics and culture.

When in the United States, these individuals find that immigration status influences access to essential resources, exacerbating the difficulty in navigating their safety and well-being as a queer, non-citizen.

The Center is determined to provide support and advocacy to those in need in a culturally competent manner, in a space that accepts and understands the complexities that arise from the queer and immigrant intersection. 
